What is Chula Vista Premier and who do you serve?

Chula Vista Premier is a competitive youth water polo club based in South Bay San Diego. We serve athletes across the Sweetwater Union High School District and nearby schools, offering elite coaching and leadership development for boys and girls from ages 8 to 18.

What age groups do you offer water polo training for?

We offer programs for:

10U Co-ed

12U Co-ed

14U Boys & Girls

16U Boys & Girls

18U Boys & Girls

Each program is tailored to the physical, mental, and emotional development of athletes at that stage.

Do I need experience to join?

No experience is required for our beginner groups! Our 10U and 12U programs are beginner-friendly, focused on building water safety, confidence, and fundamentals. Older athletes are grouped by experience and commitment level.

What makes CV Premier different from other water polo clubs?

We’re not just building players—we’re developing leaders. Our mission is to instill discipline, dedication, effort, and a positive attitude in every athlete. We focus on long-term growth in and out of the pool, not just short-term wins.

Where do you practice?

We hold practices at pools across the South Bay area, including those within the Sweetwater Union High School District, Most practices are held at the Loma Verde Aquatic Center. Exact locations vary by age group and season. You’ll receive a full schedule after registration or during the tryout process.

How do I sign up or try out?

It’s easy to get started:

How much does it cost to join?

Pricing varies by age group and season. We offer flexible options and sibling discounts. Email us or attend an interest meeting to learn more about current rates and what’s included (practices, tournaments, gear, etc.).

Is CV Premier a year-round program?

Yes. We operate year-round with seasonal breaks. We participate in local leagues, scrimmages, and major tournaments like Junior Olympics.

Do you help athletes get recruited to play in college?

Absolutely. Our 16U and 18U programs include college prep, competitive exposure, and guidance through the recruiting process. Our coaching staff has experience helping athletes succeed at the next level.

What equipment does my athlete need to play?

Each athlete will need a water polo suit, cap, goggles, and a reusable water bottle. We'll guide you on how to get the right gear based on your age group and level.

How can I stay updated on practices, events, and tournaments?

Once registered, families receive access to our team calendar and updates via email, SMS, and/or our mobile app. You can also follow us on [Instagram] and [Facebook] for updates, highlights, and photos.

Do you offer financial aid or scholarships?

At this time we do not offer scholarships, however intend to in the near future. We believe every athlete deserves the chance to compete. Limited need-based scholarships will become available.
